Hi all

I am Swiss and I currently work at a company in Bangkok with a non-imm B + I hold a work permit, but salary is just under the required 40k needed for a marriage visa, in fact it's 36,000 Baht. Would my application for a marriage visa be accepted by immigration if I also submit my Thai wife's pay slip? because then the total will be around 60k?

Anyone know?

Thanks

Yes. It must be your income, her income or a combination of both.

I think tax payments on your incomes are needed as proof.

why does he need extension based on marriage if on WP and thus visa legal anyway ?

to answer the question - yes, or you could perhaps bring in 4k per month (that I don't know but suspect to be true)

His salary is not high enough to get a 1 year extension (50,000/month for most Europeans, including the Swiss), or maybe the company he works for does not qualify (too many foreigners on WP's or not enough profit last year).

If he can get the 1 year extension based on his marriage and their combined income he will be rid of doing the visa runs! His work permit will then run synchronized with his extension of stay.
