Malaysian arrested in Chiang Mai for allegedly having 355 ecstasy pills

CHIANG MAI: -- Police early Saturday arrested a Malaysian for allegedly having having 355 ecstasy pills in possession with intent to sell.

Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Yong Chee Kong, 32, at a road-side foods shop in Chiang Mai's Muang district at 1 am.

Police did not find the drug on him but later searched his apartment and found the pills.

Police said undercover police had learnt that the man had been allegedly smuggling the drug to sell to Thai and foreign tourists in the northern capital.
