Seeking Participants: Simultaneous Video Field Recording Project

People are currently being recruited to take part in a world-wide video art project. In this project, amateur digital video photographers from different countries and timezones are to be recruited to simultaneously make one hour-long video field recording sometime during the first two weeks of December 2004 (exact time has not yet been determined).

The idea behind this project is to bring together events which occurred in vastly different parts of the world, yet share a sameness and bond in time. That is, despite these video recordings being separated by such great distances, they still share an inherent "something" in that they happened simultaneously.

I detest Trump for a variety of reasons, and now he's given me one more. Despite the grave misgivings I, and many, many more, had going into this WC ( ICE, the visa issues, a top referee turned away, the treatment of the Iranian team etc.) the WC was turning into a great success, bringing people from all over the world together, including lots of Americans, many of who seemed to develop an interest in, and an enjoyment of, the beautiful game. So what if Trump called? FIFA could have refused to take the call or it could have said no. You don't know what went on behind the scenes with Portugal. Ronaldo's offence was far more serious than Baloguns, and the only reason 1 game was served was because the appeal was late in being filed and there were 3 games that applied. It is hypocrisy to pick one event and not the other. The reality is that the Football federations are corrupt. This is a business, not a charity. FIFA will do whatever needs to be done to maximize profit. How quickly the allegations of bribery and payoffs that marred the selection of the last WC site have been forgotten. World Cup and Olympics are all about making money for private business interests, not sport.

Tight budget can mean; Limited funds to pay for an airfare and/or NO funds available to pay for the costs incurred due to IRROPS, and no money to pay for flight options. A cheap discount airfare that might be slod at a lower cost than a basic excursion fare will cost much more if there are flight changes or disruptions. Is the passenger going to pay for baggage and seat selection.If so, then it is more cost effective to go with a higher airfare that includes these options. Low Cost Carriers are suited for the people with restricted financial means. One isn't going to get a lower cost than JetStar or VietJet.
