Coming in to a Thai restaurant, and getting the menu in Thai only! How do you know what you order, how do you save your face, and most of all how do you enjoy your meal (by not knowing wath you're eating)

So wath to do: Close your eyes and point your finger somewhere random on thhe menu, look at the waither with your most sincere face expression and say "this is what i want to order"

Or what ?

Buy yourself a pocket dictionary - Rough Guides, Lonely Planet are two I have. They have about a 10 page section dedicated to resturant food. In Thai, thaiglish and English so the waitress can read the Thai, you the English and you practice the pronunciation with the waitress in Thaiglish. The cheapest and most pleasing Thai lessons you will get. :o

And don't forget to tip her for the lesson!
