jayenram
There’s a rumour around that UBC is about to launch a venture to provide British comedy (ex BBC) on one of their channels. Can this really be true? Is there a web site where I may offer my suggestions? Faulty Towers (obviously) Porridge Steptoe and Son Have I got news for you? ‘Alo ‘Alo One foot in the grave Black Adder Last of the summer wine (I’m a Yorkie) ‘Till death do us part (English version, obviously) Rising damp Bottom The young ones Open all hours Only fools and horses It ain’t ‘arf ‘ot mum Dad’s army Not the nine o’clock news Rab C. Nesbit Absolutely fabulous Monty Python’s flying circus Men behaving badly The likely lads The Liver birds Hancock’s half hour The good life To the manor born Yes Minister (and the follow ups) The lovers “Saying goodbye to German women” (my German spelling is not good) Boys from the black stuff Robin’s nest George and Mildred On the buses Reginald Perrin The two Ronnies There are hundreds more but it’s late. And the last time I remember, I was paying approx Bht 4,000.00 p.a. for this in England; now I’m paying Bht 1,550.00 per month for a load of <deleted>. Insight
Ditto. So many series' you mentioned there that'd be great to see again, Jay. I'll call UBC and get confirmation as they're always helpful. Expect the results in 6 months time, probably something along the lines of "mai roo"... pnustedt
I've read that BBC World Service have just signed up with PCCW in HK to broadcast various progs. on their NOW Broadband TV Service, to start in December. They are now in discussion with other service providers in Asia, including Thailand.
Phil Conners
Sorry to rain on your parade but I think you're dreaming. UBC is not known for spending money on quality programs. Anyway, you missed "Red Dwarf".

Highwayman
I saw ManUtv and Arsenaltv on UBC28 or 29 the other night so maybe a Brit comedy channel is in the works. Anyone know what percentage of UBC subscribers are non-Thai?
