From the Pattaya Mail this week:

Norwegian dies in hotel room

British man electrocuted during flooding

#1 Pol Col Noppadon said that it appeared the deceased had been taking drugs and had fallen down, breaking his skull.

#2 A British man died when floodwaters caused by heavy rain engulfed an electrical cable near to where he was walking during the early hours of June 19.

Almost weekly we read of these bizzare deaths in Thailand, why don't people die these kinds of death elsewhere? Something new each week, balcony jumpers, men who have commited suicide by handcuffing themselves behind their backs and then duct taping a plastic bag around their heads for suffocation.

Why are you all in such denial over these deaths? It looks like mass murder of falangs and you all just accept this, as the cost of having sex with girls younger and more attractive than you.

They probably do but deaths in Southampton, Witchita Falls, Cairns etc tend not to make it into the Pattaya Mail.

You forgot your meds this morning?

men who have commited suicide by handcuffing themselves behind their backs and then duct taping a plastic bag around their heads for suffocation.

No, you've been at the bottle again.

<edit PS please tell me how a guy getting electrocuted in a flood amounts to murder all because he had sex with a younger girl?>

"Why are you all in such denial over these deaths?"

Why are you putting words in people's mouths?

"having sex with girls younger and more attractive than you."

I don't think so, I'm much better looking than the young gal I had sex with last night. How do I know? She got me to come in by saying "hey, handsome man".

I am wondering what is the meaning of a "timely" as opposed to "untimely" death? Can someone please explain so I can plan accordingly.

Thanks

As Whitney Houston said, "Crack is Whack". What would the OP have us do? We choose to live in a developing country for various reasons. We have a 250,000 man/woman police force but apparently they are spread pretty thin because you cannot find a single one to help you when you need one. The obvious homicides reported as suicides is simply a way for the police brass to keep the homicide rate down. Their positions are at risk if homicide is viewed as out of control.

The common denominator in most of the murders the OP seems to be obsessed with is sex, drugs and rock and roll (and alcohol). I advise people not to routinely stay out too late. Most of these crimes of passion occur between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM. Alcohol and drug fueled fights over girls or anything under the sun are very common and testosterone is flying in the wee hours. Fighting over girls in Thailand is also whack. I used to live in Pattaya and do the all night scene. Police on Thai, Police on tourist, tourist on tourist and Thai (usually in a pack) on tourist. Never saw tourist on Thai for more than a few seconds.

If you cannot recognize that everyone's safety is at risk here in Thailand you should probably just go to Disneyland. Every farang should pay attention to what is going on around him or her at all times. You must recognize that whatever you do that involves a dispute with a Thai, you, the farang, is going to jail at least for a little while. Avoid confrontation of any kind with anyone. When "dating" Thai girls don't hit them or refuse to pay them. Their combination pimp and boyfriend WILL seek retribution. Do not find yourself alone late at night anywhere. You will become a victim of something. Those young males zooming around in groups at 3:00 AM are looking for a score. You don't want to be it.

For some reason Thai ex-cons and young males don't like us very much. If this wigs you out you should move away.

Timely would apply to the suicide, I guess, and untimely will apply to the rest of us who are enjoying life. Then again, I guess it would depend on if you were on the receiving end or the shooting end of the 44 mag.

Actually he didn't even do that. The guy that died was 30 and his girlfriend was 32...

The snippet:

The deceased, Mr. Scott Mitchinson aged 30 from England was accompanied to the Hospital by his girlfriend; Khun Wanidar aged 32, who works at a bar in Walking Street. She was able to explain the chain of event leading to Mr. Mitchinson’s death which appears to be a tragic accident. She explained to Police that the pair were preparing to leave the Bar and return to his Hotel, even though heavy rainstorms on Wednesday Night had flooded many streets.

That Pattaya Mail is funny. Nop & Wallop are on the job. Chon Buri province is in safe hands.

All you miscreants out there - you have been warned.

Inspector Clouseau is available to come down from France to consult on crimes thought to be "unsolvable".

If you are thinking about doing hit & run - don't.

I agree with the OP.

This is definitely a conspiracy. I bet it's a KGB Thai government alliance plot to wipe out all the Farangs living in Asia.

It`s true I tell you, please listen before it's too late. You could be next.

Oh my god. There are 4 men in black at my front door. they`re breaking in, what, uh, aaahhhhhhhggggggg

On a serious note, I went on a bicycle ride with a group in Chiang Mai, thinking this a local ride with possible rainy conditions, I rode with my flipflops instead of my bike shoes. We wound up going to the Queen's Botanical Garden in the rain. They were having a show of beautiful orchids and the ground was sopping wet so I had a hard time walking in my flipflops so I took them off (big mistake). As I was walking around, enjoying the beautiful display of orchids, suddenly I felt a strong shock going through my body. I said out loud "what the f$ck". I guess the ground I was walking on was not grounded, so I got the "shock" of my life. I am glad I have a strong heart. No more "barefoot walking in the park" when the ground is wet.

I wonder what conspiracy would have been hatched here, if I had died, "farang (or falang) killed for his bicycle" :o

After a look at the OP's other posts, I'm concluding that the player is short of a full deck.

Thus I announce, TROLL
