Thai-asian Game Servers?

Featured Replies

I m still on dial up for a while and tried to find a few Medal of Honor game servers in Asia with reasonable pings.. :o

I used Gamespy and few others but did not lookg good...

Any suggestions for game servers apart from going hi-speed (soon)?

Anyone want to create a server and have some fun?

unfortunately you will not find ADSL improving your pings very much.

You get better bandwidth and can push more data through but the speed it goes through with is by and large unchanged.

Darn!

So, when and where do we organise the first FaLAN party? :o

If we can get someone with a decent connection (looks to the ADSL guys in BKK) and convince one of them to set up their machine as a server, we can have our own in-house thailand based game server.

Not as good as using proper production servers, but the next best thing for the gameing community of the "worst ping hub of asia"

Even the ping times beteen Pattaya and Bangkok are worse than pingtimes between USA and Europe.

How about a proper lan party. Rent a room somewhere and everybody pile in with the hardware and game on for 24 hours nonstop :o

Spent most of Sunday playing the Half Life 2 version of Counter Strike on the Zexxel Bangkok server

My ping was 30-40 and even with 32 players it never stuttered

Once half life 2 is out in the shops I'm sure even more servers will come online. Everyone playing right now has pre-purchased the game on Steam

Setting up the system isn't the big problem. Deciding WHICH game to serve IS...

:o
