I plan to buy a condo in BKK. I am an expat with a work permit. I'm going to buy a new condo directly from developer.

I went to a condo fare, and most developers offered down payments. I've heard from Thais, that is not problem for a foreigner to pay installments to a developer on a specific project, as its not the same as getting a mortgage from a bank. But I am not sure about this.

I will need to pay installments, as I don't have enough money to pay cash. Maybe enough to pay 30%

Anyone have any first-hand experiences with this?

I want facts, not speculations.

Thanks :o
