I am googled for a trip to Thailand just about Hill tribes and found the Long-necked Karen at http://www.thailand-life.com/long_ne...ill_tribe.html. Can someone advise me for a good place or tour group in the north of Thailand around Chiang Mai and Mae Hong Son for this people. I have been in Phuket last year and planing to the north on December.

I saw something on BBC about these people. Because Thailand views them as a tourist resource, the ones who have been given permission to settle in other countries are refused permission to travel by the Thai authorities, arguing they are not refugees. In protest a lot of these people are refusing to wear those neck rings.
