And as I just saw another post edited, with a link deleted that was providing info.. The poster was not the owner of the other site, he had no connection except for it being info relevant to the topic. Yet its removed.

So whats the rules ?? Other threads state if you post a news story you SHOULD link to the source of the info..

Can link guidelines be made clear please.

Hard to say without knowing which post you are referring to, but according to the Forum Rules:

7) Please don't drop promotional urls, signature files, or specifics that would lead people to your site.

10) Please do not post links to pages that contain objectionable material. This includes, warez, cracks, file sharing, pornography, pyramid schemes, referral ID's, ebay listings and requesting donations.

18) URL links from public to private forums are not permitted.

So if I link to a site, that isnt mine.. And not to thier forum.. Thats OK ??

Its getting silly.. some forums theres links all over them, in fact people are continually asking posters for 'source' if they DONT post the link (news, real estate, business).. Other forums ANY link gets removed, even when its a perfectly appropriate posting of information to answer a posters question.

This is pretty ridiculous.

You have your own moderators posting links to businesses like this:

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?s=...t&p=2998407

But deleting links to motorcycle clubs in the motorcycle forum. <deleted>?!

You may not link to your own website, forum or promote your business/club/association on Thai visa without permission from Thai Visa marketing.

Linking to third party websites for news, information or technical aspect is OK, as long as it is not your website.

I believe we have had this discussion before BigBikeBKK, so I am really confused as to why you have not contacted Thai Visa marketing to work out a deal to promote your website/forum on Thai Visa. If you do not wish to do this, please do not bring up the issue of the SSR on Thai Visa again.
