From their website:

Why it's all free? How do you earn?

We have 3 funding sources: we own paid hosting company, and we have strong financial ground; our service is user donations supported - each day we receive donations from happy users; and finally, we earn by offering paid upgrades for those who need more disk space and more services.

Pretty good reasons to support their business and providing free space. Don't expect any support though.

For a couple of bucks per month you'll have more space/data transfer and support at one of the many hosting companies on the web.

Just sign up ... and try them first. Nothing to lose (yet).

The problem with free web hosting services is that they are often grossly over-subscribed which can result in poor up-time and performance for your web site. Getting hold of someone for any support issues can also be difficult, as support with these types of hosts is not on par with professional commercial hosting services.

If you're serious about reliable hosting for your site, sign-up with a good hosting company. It's not expensive and the peace of mind and elimination of headaches you'll get in the long run are well worth it.

If you're looking for free hosting i would take a look at Zymic. As youngkiwi pointed out though, if you're serious about your site you should go with paid hosting.

The last time i used Zymic the performance was great, and they've been good about handling issues and downtime.

Regardless of which host you use, never use a free subdomain (ie 'thaiexports.freehosting.com') as you have no control over it and can't move it to a different host if you get frustrated, plus it looks rather unprofessional. Zymic will allow you to use your own domain name if you've already purchase one and if they like your site they'll even provide free domain registration. I'd check the fine print and make sure that you're not giving them ownership of the domain name by allowing them to pay for it though.
