I need to get a retirement of spouse visa. Can meet all of the requirements and just want someone who can help push the paper. Need someone in Ploenchit area or similar. Just a small office and reliable person to help out

Along the same lines, when they do this for you, do you have to stand in line with everyone else or can a decent attorney "fix" an appointment?

Thanks

I've used BSA Law in Rajdamri, and I found them to be excellant. You can have a look on their website, and if you need someone to talk to in English, just ask for Jim Byrne, who is an American who works for this firm. Good luck.

What is so difficult in making copies of some papers?

You will have to produce the originals anyway!

If you have a Thai bankaccount, you have to go to the bank for the statements yourself.

For certified income abroad, go to your embassy for the income certificate by yourself.

You have to go to the immigration.... by yourself.

Fixing an appointment for you at immigration, maybe, but ask yourself how this preferrement must be accomplished?

Because of your beautiful eyes? Really?

Besides, it will not help very much.

Be very careful in using any agent, I think it does not seem right for the immigration officer.

If I were one, I would ask myself, why does this first time applicant use an agent, does he have something to hide?

Believe me, most of the work you have to do yourself.

Save your money, you can do yourself.

Use an attorney, lawyer or agent, don't save much time or money, but it will cost you money, and maybe more.

...What is so difficult in making copies of some papers?...

There’s more to it than that. It starts with understanding what one has (for example, there is no “retirement of spouse visa”) and what one can get next, and lots of people, or companies for their foreign employees, are using a law office or specially trained person to handle immigration matters.

I have absolutely no idea what the OP says he needs to get. You replied as if you know, but do you?

'f' key is below the 'r' key - guess he meant to type "retirement or spouse visa" - suspect a typo.

Do agree with Maestro though - if in doubt then there is no harm in asking for help.

That leaves in mind the question whether the OP means visa or extension of stay. Of course, the OP can perhaps get his confusion sorted out with a visit to an immigration office but if he chooses to use the services of a lawyer he will most certainly not be the only one to do so. From what I understand the law firms sponsoring this forum handle lots of applications for extension for clients. For a visa, though, the OP would have to go to a Thai consulate, ie outside Thailand.
