A rep for "big International publishers"? I would think that being able to communicate in perfect English would be essensial for that job. :o

i didn't write "big international publisher" anywhere in my post. however, English is my second language so obviously i'm not the best.

still looking for that list though. couldn't find much info on net.

thanks again.

Just this one time, look under schools, Chiang Mai and you may be able to figure out what you are asking here. If you are serious you might hop on your horse, travel to Chiang Mai and go around to the schools via tuk tuk and approach the school with your presentation. Or if this is not to your liking or wont fit you schedule ask the group who hired you for a list of contacts.. jesssssh as calvin would say.

i can sense a large number of "unhappy farang" in CM. I wish i could delete this thread.

Some of you figuring out my poor English, some teaching me how to do my job, some being stereotypical with the intent of being humorous instead of really supporting me with quality inputs.

very poor taste.

They're normally a fun bunch, really. I think what they are hinting at is why should they do your job for you. There are many discussion threads on schools in this forum.

All YOU need to do is type in the word "school" into the search box below and to the left, and you will get a list of relevant threads. Just read each and then write out the name of the schools, and there you have your information.

have a nice day :o

Girls - Please - A new poster has come to us for assistance and we have ravaged him/her like a pack of rabid squirrels. This is not the behavior I would expect of the helpful Chiang Mai community.

In answer to one question - Yes, several new Bilingial schools have opened recently and more are in the pipeline. You would do best to go to www.google.co.th and type in your search term using the Thai language. If you can not do that yourself, go to a net cafe and ask the assistant to help you. If you do not read Thai, you will also need assistance with the results, but thyat should be available too.

Now girls - lets try to help, Okay!

:o

I'm certain that parents with children in local schools, including the international ones, will welcome anyone who might offer better texts than what said schools are currently using.

sunny747 why don't you tell us the ones that you already know about and we can add the ones you don't. What kind of books do you sell?

That is a great idea.

For example, the newest bilingual school here is a branch of the Sarasas chain, out of Bangkok. Varee is relatively new, but not brand new. I cannot think of any others. I had not heard of any new international schools.

Some locally owned schools that are not international include Prince Royal's, Dara, Wichai Wittayai, the big blue rocket school behind Big C on the superhighway. Some or most of them have bilingual or English-emphasis programs.

This info is not easily found on the web. I already made a list so you can use mine. There are probably more because the cost of these schools keeps going up, creating small groups such as the homeschool co-op.
