Any suggestions where in Bangkok can walk a big dog (36 kilo) ? Public parks ... or whatever green & better environment?

Also looking to rent pet friendly apartment - house in BKK (close to BTS)

everything depends what part of bangkok you live, you are not going to travel 1 or 2 hours each way to the best park.

Hi,

living in Bangkok needs some adjusting on many levels. There are no "safe areas" near the city centre. I walk on a small dead end soi near my house in Thonglor: no stray dogs there. But when I walk back from the office at night on the main street with my dog: I always have to be on the lookout for the street dog's patches!. I have to pick my dog up and walk past their boundaries and then put her back on the sidewalk. Takes to get used to. gain as mentioned in earlier posts: there is a nice leash free area at the Ministry of Public Health near Nagam Wong Wan. Need to drive there and not sure about "farangs"living in that area as it is far from the city centre. Ponds and undulating terrain and very few street dogs. Most of the ones walked there by their owners are friendly and my dog always has a good time and she can blow steam off...a whippet needs a few burn outs once in a while!

Keep an open mind but i don;t think you can find parks like in England in Bangkok.

"also" means something less important. As to renting appartments - there is always an issue with the menagement as well as the other tenants, especially if the dog is that big and not a lap dog. When you rent a house you can do pretty what you like, bonus being a garden or an empty land for the dog to run. The further you go from the bts and the city centre the bigger house and garden and open spaces you can get within this same budget.
