Poor Internet Connection And Wi-fi Problem

I am experiencing annoying problems with my internet connection. I have a TT&T connection which seems to have slowed right down. Although when I run a speed test it says around 780kbps, which is normal, some pages either will not open or take a long time. Yahoo has become difficult to open for some reason.

My other problem is that my Wi-Fi is no longer working. My laptop is no longer seeing it and I don’t know how to check its actually putting the signal out. I tried to open a new Wi-Fi connection but it didn’t seem to work even though I followed all the steps correctly.

Another problem is that even when I connect my laptop to a neighbor’s wi-fi it connects but will not open any pages. This is very confusing to me. Surely the laptop should work on the neighbor’s connection. It used to work fine.

This has all happened since we went away for the week end and the wife unplugged everything including the internet.
