Even though a few of my Thai friends are not faithful to their gf's and wifes, they all normally bring the gf's/wifes along when they go out in the evenings.

There are plenty of good places open in the day time as well. The lighting is much better as well for photography, not to mention you get to take your photos (for that day) before everyone else does.
