jwildgrube
I hope someone out there can help me -- I'm at my wits end trying to figure this out. A friend of mine recently moved here from Korea, bringing with him a HD Plasma TV -- I've hooked almost all of it up so that DVDs can be watched in wonderful surround sound, but I am having a heck of a time getting the UBC cable to work. The crux of the problem is this -- the TV has no cable jack and only accepts componant video inputs -- a UBC cable box does not have componant video outputs. So... usually, one would buy a box that would accept the cable inputs, act as a decoder for the UBC and allow companant outputs. My friend has a box like that, but all the instuctions and menus are in Korean (which I don't read). I'm wondering if anyone has dealt with specialized TV setups here or knows of a (competant) store/dealer in Bangkok that could help solve my problem. Any help is greatly appreciated! dougrobinson2024
Couldn't you just buy a VCR and run the cable to it, then use the audio and video outs on the back, to connect to the plasma TV? Doug
