Hi Folks,

Its that time of year when I come over to see my little brother in Korat and normaly I would stay at the Landmark before I take the bus the next day and I don't usually have any problems bringing in a guest :D HAS THIS CHANGED

This time I have the chance to stay at the Dusit Thani Hotel on a freebie and I wondered if any of you chaps would know about there GF policy.I don't mind but this is important as I'm bringing over a BK virgin and I want him to have some fun along with myself of course. :o

Thanks in advance

Enjoy the Dusit; use a short time room for fun!

I agree. Unless the guest is pre registered, security will not let you up the lift. You will be asked to register your guest and pay a "joining" fee. No problems, just their rules and no eyebrows will be raised.

Can you not register as a couple (wife, spouse, two ppl sharing a room, etc) right from the start? If asked for the name of the other person, just say, "Don't know -- haven't met him/her yet."

I heard of a problem there a few years back.. Someone took 2 birds back there and was told 1'000 each joining fee, they told the front desk one was the wife and the other was her sister.. The front desk manager was full of apologies, and let them both upto the room.. After checking out a few days later a 4'000 baht charge appeared on the guys guarantee credit card although he settled the bill with cash when checking out.. They'd actually charged 1'000 each for 2x nites even tho the 2 birds were only there 1 nite..

You could check in for 2x people and say your wife "nok" will be joining you later, then theres not a lot they can do, it's not the sort of place they appreciate bin slags hanging around tho, so its aswell avoided imo..

Your best bet would be to check into the Sheraton Suk or Grand millenium Suk, they don't mind who you take back provided u check in for 2.. :o

Based on the above info I think I will go to my old fave the Landmark as I have never been asked for a fee nor has it been made an issue with any door or lift staff as long as the girl has id.Anyway you guys have made up my mind for me so thanks for the info.
