All you seem to do is moan about other parties, the noice, decor etc. lighten up...... I've also noticed that you seem to try to promote one particular party, do they not make noice? I'm finding a conflict of interest in your postings

My advice is to either join them or better yet, those 2-3 nights a week go stay somewhere else. Use it as an excuse to have a mini vacation and have fun. My advice is to either join them or better yet, those 2-3 nights a week go stay somewhere else. Use it as an excuse to have a mini vacation and have fun. Good idea. To make it cheap and convinient, rent/buy 2 houses. One for the 4-5 nights/week and one for the other 2-3 nights/week. (Are they really that often nowadays?? ). Or maybe get the authorities to understand that having a 35 decibel loud discotec all night long in a area where quite alot people live is not suitable? I`ve lived quite close to it before and could not sleep. Was´nt really into joining it either and it did not suit my situation to live some place else every time the party was on, i have full understanding and compassion for the people that live in this area and have a job to do the next day. Shout it down or move it to a better suited area. Soi reaggae for instans. Edited August 22, 2008 by mattias33

NHJ
according to his previous post he owns a house there. a good solution is as those parties are scheduled, just rent a cheap hotel room for the night at 200/250 bath, it won't hurt your wallet, you'll be able to go work fresh and you'll feel more relaxed. after all what is worse a bar everyday until 2-3AM or a party once a week until 6AM?... Pilchard
A few years ago I was shown a map which had the Lake view land , Q bar and much more in that area all marked as Entertainment zone. If that is still the case then I guess the parties are legal and there could be more clubs ect in the future.
mattias33
The people that say "its there, accept or don´t" i can´t agree with at all. Ok if the party was already there when you rented a house. Then you either accept it, or you move someplace else. Easy. But if you bought or builded a house before the party, then the party comes and you dont want to live there anymore. The lakeroad is well known for this loud party. Offcourse it affects the price of the house and it might not be so easy to seel it nowadays. It´s really not my buisness or any of my concerns, but i still think it´s unique for Thailand to set up this kind of extreme event in the middle of a living area. In many countries this would not be aloud. You´d need to have an agreement from the peope living there before opening. The lakeview party has several phonecalls to the police everytime it´s on and nothing happens. Don´t get me wrong, i dont want to stop the party, many people have fun there and thats a good thing. I´m just questioning the location....

So let's move the parties next door to Malcolmswines house and see if he's still so smug about these noisy events (as he has also been in the past) when he's not getting any sleep!
