Hi

This is my first post on here.

My Dad unfortunately died two weeks ago but owned a truck in Thailand. This has been owned for about a year and my brother is wanting to bring this back to the UK. I've heard something about that you need to own the vehicle for two years before you are allowed to remove. If this is the case, I'm guessing there may be some hefty duties for the truck to be exported.

Be grateful for any advices on this.

Many thanks

I cannot tell you about Thailand but I am pretty sure you will have a fairly heavy duty to pay bringing the car into the UK. Remember they do not have heaters often in thailand .....and I have heard what your weather is like:) Frrom what I have seen on the net depreciation is low in Thailand so it may be better to sell it here rather than spend a couple of thousand Pounds shipping and the duty and VAT for the UK.
