A friend of mine has aked me if I can recommend someone who is able to give him some legal advice for 1 or 2 UK based issues in Pattaya, not the UK. He doesnt really want to travel back home. Are there any UK solicitors here? Does anyone have any recommendations?

cheers.

I think there's a list on the British Embassy website or an email to the British Chamber of Commerce should get you a list of UK law firms that operate in Thailand.

I also remember there used to be a UK solicitor that was a memeber of the Pattaya Expats Club that would give advice on UK related matters.

Tell yourself or your 'mate' to call a UK lawyer an dask for advice. You or he will be given advice over the phone but no solution.

You or he can then decide what you need to do.

.......erm thats the point, my "friend" has already done that. I have also checked with the Law Society for UK firms in Thailand on his behalf. All the UK firms are big commercial outfits which a. dont cater for what he needs and b. would be too expensive even if they did. Thanks for taking the time to reply anyway. Looks like he will have to schedule it in next time he comes home. Which he reckons might keep him there for a lot longer than he wants.
