libya 115 Posted September 3, 2008 Share Posted September 3, 2008 SOURCE: Pattaya People: September 3rd 2008 Guard Stabbed and Robbed in Naklua Police and Sawang Boriboon Rescue were called to a small road in the Naklua area on the morning of the 3rd September to investigate a stabbing and robbery. There they quickly attended to 28 year old Mr. Boonrod Plangpan, a security guard. He had been beaten about the head and had a stab wound to his stomach, causing a serious loss of blood. An eye witness who called the police told them that two men attacked the guard before leaving on his motorbike. Pattaya Police are treating the attack as suspicious and are investigating the friends and family of Mr. Boonrod Plangpan for possible motives. libya 115 Posted September 3, 2008 Author Share Posted September 3, 2008 SOURCE: Pattaya Daily News: September 3rd 2008 TWO MEAN ROBBERS ATTACKS ARM-DISABLED MAN FOR MOTORBIKE A security man who had a disability on his right arm, was brutally attacked by two robbers. The victim tried to run away but he was followed and beaten up with a plank of wood. He was severely injured with broken jaws. The suspects took his motorbike and rode away. At 03.00, on September 3th, 2008, Pol.Lt.Col. Norawich Julawanich, Pattaya investigator, was notified of an attack and a robbery and the victim was badly injured. The incident happened at the footing of elevated bridge of state highway No. 7, Chonburi – Pattaya (Mortorway Pattaya), on the middle island of Sukhumvit road, near North Pattaya (opposite Chevrolet center), Chonburi. Police team along with Sawang Boriboon rescue rushed to the scene. At the muddy footing of the elevated bridge, which is under construction, the victim, Mr. Boonrod Tangphan (26), a security guard of Kit Rung Rueng Company Ltd., who was lying unconsciously. He had sustained a broken jaws and broken wound on his head. His face had been hit by a hard object and bleeding all over. His body was covered with bruised and seriously injured. The rescue team immediately took him to Banglamung hospital. Police found the evidence of a plank of wood with bloodstain on the spot. The witness, Mr. Seree Tonsalee (48), from Rayong, the security guard of Chevorolet center, located on the opposite site, told that, he normally saw Mr. Boonrod came to work between 17.00 – 07.00 and frequently slept in the shack under the bridge. On the night, the incident occurred, the witness saw two teens on a motorbike, coming close to victim and used a plank of wood to beat him up hardly. The victim was trying to run away, but the suspects were following and beating him, until he had been collapsing on the mud. The suspects took the victim's motorbike and sped away quickly. Mr. Seree, the witness, had informed the rescue team. Police assumed that the suspects could be teenagers in the area, who had similar crime records. Initially, police had sent the investigation team to search for news and would investigate the victim when he is in the better state.
