Gas Bbq On Condo Outside Balcony

Featured Replies

i own a condo in Pattaya and have been using a LPG gas BBQ to cook ribs etc on my condo balcony - i was told by the condo management that gas BBQ's are not permitted - does anyone know if this is ok in other condo buildings in the Bangkok or Pattaya area?

I'm surprised you even got a gas bottle past the reception.

In a previous condo I lived in they would not even let a guy in with a camping size stove and gas bottle that he wasn't even going to use (he only used it on camping trips)

As with all rules there are always exceptions but its safe to say that most condo's in Thailand do not permit co-owners to use cooking gas.

Yes a bit of an inconvenience, no gas stoves allowed also.

I use an electric grill for my balcony barbeques, 550 baht from Robinson's in Sukhumvit 19.

No complaints from management or neighbors so far (3 years and about 12 bbqs).

I am on the 21 st floor which is windy enough to dissipate the smoke.
