How Many Visa Exemptions Can One Guy Have?

Featured Replies

Hi - I first entered Thailand at the end of July (28th I think). I then did a visa run from Ranong to Myanmar. I'm currently thinking of entering Laos (about 2 weeks into my 2nd 30-day stamp), re-entering Thailand (for the third time) but only staying a couple of days before leaving for Malaysia for 10 days, then re-entering Thailand for only two days on Sept 29th in order to fly home (but that would be the 4th visa exemption).

My question therefore is - are you allowed to have an unlimited number of visa exemptions as long as your total stay does not exceed 90 days OR are you limited to three separate visa exemptions, even if (as will be my case) you don't even come close to being in Thailand for a total of 90 days (I intend on a total of about 45 days, albeit with 4 visa exemption stamps).

If it's not possible to exceed 3 stamps, am I right in thinking that another option is to take my three exemption stamps in a row after visiting Laos, leave for Malaysia, and then get a 60-day tourist visa in Penang to get me through the final two days in which I fly home?

I am 27 years old and currently hold a UK passport valid for 10 years.

Thanks, Steve

I can't be doing with all that.

The rule is a total of 90 days in a 6 month period.

As many entries as you want.
