ChiPat
Hi all, This is probably a simple question with a simple answer but I have to pay my landlord by wiring money to their account and I was wondering how I go about doing that. I do not have a Thai bank acct, can I just go into any bank and give them cash, or can I go to western union? I don’t think my landlord wants to actually do anything besides look at their bank acct and see that the money is there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, ChiPat
longball53098
Do you have a mate here in Thailand that can make the payment for you? Then you can pay them back when you return. If it's only a one time thing might be the easiest way.
sunluvr
Western Union is certainly an option but not the cheapest... neither is sending an international wire transfer from your bank. I have found Moneygrams to be the cheapest - from Canada anyways... if sending under $1,000CDN the cost is only $10.. and the recipient can pick up the money at any regular bank outlet in Thailand by going in with the Reference number u get from the moneygram and photo identification... more info here - http://www.moneygram.com/index.htm
