Material For Couches, Sofas

I'm about to buy some furniture for a condo - but which material to choose for my couch and sofas?

I don't A/C my room for the whole day, so the cooling effect is often restricted to flowing air through open windows or the fan. So in some of the condos of my friends, I found that leather or even more so plastic, is uncomfortable because after 5 minutes, sweat begins to build and then the whole couch becomes slippery. A bit disgusting, and possibly a health issue as well. But then, aren't marquis fabrics even worse?

Maybe someone of you could tell about your expeirences - which material do you feel most comfortable with, here in Thailand?
