Bringing/importing Personal Items From The Uk To Thailand

Featured Replies

Following seperation, likely before end of this year I will need to ship out to Thailand a number of personal effects. This will mainly be books, but also include items of personal nature "model sailing ships", "antique table (small) and chair x 1.

Want it door to door? Do not want to collect myself at dockside owing to "tea money"

Are there any reputable firms that will do from Newbury, Berkshire to my address in Pattaya.

Thanks

The Unaccompanied Baggage co. (UK)

Your Door to Swampy Airport.

Get Thai Airways to do the clearance and fwding to Patty.

You will still probably get hit duty on second hand items.

Thai customs are a bunch of xxxxs.

I agree. Don't expect to get away without paying duty (tea money) and remember, you won't get your stuff until you do pay.

Good luck with your new life.

Depends on your nationality. Thai nationals returning home after residing abroad can import their household goods duty free.

Non-thai nationals can import their goods duty free if they are on an extension of stay for one year of their non-immigrant visa and posses a work permit.
