No Exit Date ?

Featured Replies

Hey Guys,

I just got a TR visa in Singapore valid from 18/11/04 to 17/02/04. On entry to BKK I was given the usual entry stamp but no stamp that says "admitted until XXX"

So, Can I stay for 2 months or can I stay until the visa expires ?

I'm confused.

Thanks

OK, OK, I meant valid from 18/11/04 to 17/02/05.

The point is, When do I have to leave ?

To the smart thing and go to a visa office. If they shorten it just get an extension. What you don't want is a visa violation....you don't want that! I know a fellow who got one and though he could get a new passport and new visa at home.....Did so but the Passport Control at BKK nicked him to the Immie Slammer untill the next day where he go sent home.......No ######ie with immie!

Yes it's strange, They simply did not stamp an exit date, So I guess I will go and see, would I be better to go to the airport or BKK office ?

Not clear what you are calling an "entry stamp" as that is the only stamp you get and the lower part has the "admitted until" information. This is also stamped on the back of your TM.6 form (although date not always entered).

As advised, if you do not find information go to immigration and they will fix it for you. There are mistakes make and they have experience in correcting them.

You can stay 60 days on a TR entry.

If the point of entry was Bangkok International Airport: Please report to the officer on duty at Room 519, 5th Floor, Old Building, Immigration Bureau, Soi Suan Plu, Sathorn District, Bangkok. Tel. 287-3101-10 Ext. 2191
