The Immigration website has considerably changed the documents required under the Thai wife category.

http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/ba...p?page=service#

It now reads thus:

List of documents for extension Thai spouse visa

  1. Application form T.M. 7 with one photograph size 4x6 cm. and Visa Fee 1900.-Baht
  2. Copy of passport ( with certified true copy )
  3. Required documentation for applying visa in case of
    • For supporting Thai wife

    1. Marriage Certificate
    2. Child's birth certificate (if any)
    3. Wife’s house registration
    4. Wife’s identity card

  • Incase of Working
    1. A copy of work permit or receiving work permit form ( WP.2 )
    2. The letter from the applicant’s company to certify salary that the applicant receives not less than 40,000 baht per month (identifier position and salary) or husband or wife working has Income including at least 40,000 baht/month
    3. Personal Corporation income Tax (PND.1) in latest 3 months and personal income tax for previous year with receipt
    4. Recording interviewing the husband and wife for confirming status of husband and wife
    5. House’s map
    6. Other such as Registration Company
    7. Picture of house and family

  • To be supported from Thai husband
    1. Marriage certificate
    2. Child’s Birth certificate
    3. Husband’s house registration
    4. Husband’s identity card
    5. Recording interviewing the husband and wife for confirming status of husband and wife
    6. House’s map, picture of House’s and family

I'm sure that if I go in with only the items listed under "For supporting Thai wife" that I will find myself short-handed. Looking at the list, it looks like someone not real familiar with English just didn't format the paragraph bullet system correctly in order to include all the documents required in each category.

I feel like I should ignore this list and just go by the Police Order and past experience, which as I recall would mean the "For supporting Thai wife" above should also include my proof of income, interview to establish marital status, house map, and picture of house and family.

Is that right?

Anything else?

I plan to use the affidavit of income from the US Embassy.

I see they have added Certified True Copy of Passport as well. If that is right, then I guess I would get that done at the Embassy as well, right?

They have not included evidence of income earned abroad. probably a mistake. No mention of Money in the bank for those that are Grandfathered. They will still be working from Police Order 2006. The Immigration website call it 'Supporting a Thai Wife' It is not, she can support You if needed.

In previous topics on here it was agreed that Certified Copy of Passport meant that You signed the copy.

They also mention the 3 Million Baht Investment Visa when this no longer exists.

Last month I applied for my first extension for support of Thai wife (point taken, Lite Beer).

Looking at the lists in the OP, I had to supply everything under the 'For supporting Thai wife' bullet and everything under the 'In case of Working' bullet. I guess it is a case of poor formatting.

As for a certified copy of my passport - just my signature.

Additionally I also had to supply photos and map of my office. I applied at the Sri Racha Immigration office. Different offices may have different requirements. It would be worth a phone call or a visit to the office you intend to apply at for a full list of what they expect - they would probably be able to give you a printed list.

The web site of the Immigration Bureau, to which jkolak linked, has not yet been updated to reflect the changes introduced with Royal Thai Police Order No. 606/2549. Perhaps their webmaster has left and not been replaced.
