Mario2008
regarding the visa question for your children. Since they are minors they can stay with you as dependends till they reach the age of 20. Till than no need for a visa based on education. See: http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/2notice/rtp606EN.pdf point 7.19. for the requirements.
ubonjoe
Assuming you meet all the requiremnts for the retirement visa. At the moment they can get a non-o visa based upong your visa the same as your wife. I say at the moment because there have been posts saying this could change, On the shcool question I suggest you make a post on the general topics forum to get your answer. As it stands now, he won't have a problem, but at 20 years of age the kids are on their own as regards visa's.

astral
Reading http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/2notice/rtp606EN.pdf section 7.19 there does not appear to be any financial requirement for the child's visa.
