Stop-over Back In Bkk Even Though My 90 Days Are Used Up

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

I've used up my three Tourist Stamps and now must exit the country this coming Monday. All is fine, except that I just found out *today* that my new job is sending me to the Middle East for a few days next week, and then want to fly me back through BKK in order to pick up the remainder of my itinerary back to North America.

Most cruicial questions is - will they let me back in to Thailand for this stop-over? Does a stop-over qualify as being in the country? I know it sounds like a stupid question, but perhaps if you're en route to somewhere it doesn't.

I need to get them to book my ticket from BKK to the ME today or tomorrow and need to tell them if they must send me back via a different route.

Thanks AGAIN for all the help you guys give!

Jennifer

Edit: Starting all over. I think I get it now they want you to fly back to Thailand and connect to an existing Flight that you have a ticket for. That can be done but you can't leave the airport you have to stay in the transit area. It would just be a matter of timing your arrival so that you can get your orignal flight with out waiting to long.

Also it would mean that you have to contact the airlines and arrange that your flights are linked so you can check your bags all the way to the States.

1) Have you been entering Thailand on Tourist Visa Exempt 30 day stamps?

2) Visa Exempt entries allow you to stay for a maximum of 90 days in the six month period, starting from your first entry, you can enter as many times as you like.

3) If you have been in Thailnd for less than 90 days as defined in 2) above, or you have been here on any kind of visa issued abroad, then you have no problem.

In transit, so if you aren't leaving the airport I would assume you should be ok.
