Visa Run In Ranong

I used to stay a lot in Koh Phangan and have done many a visa run to Ranong, then across to Burma. I've been living in Bangkok the last 8 months or so, therefore I haven't heard the latest situation on the visa run to Burma.

I need to do a run in a couple of weeks, I'll be in Chumphon, so Ranong will be pretty handy.

So the questions are, is it still $10 and where can I change Baht for Dollars in Ranong?

i just went to ranong a couple of days ago, still as shitty as every and still $10. the guy on the boat sold me a new looking $10 for 500baht, not cheap but gets the job done.

Go to the Andaman Club Pier. 850 Baht for the boat and entry to Myanmar. No Dollars needed and no BS given.

If you want to DIY pick up a moto driver outside immigration and he'll take you to the pier where you'll get a boat. Although, to be honest, while I enjoyed the DIY experience I think if I had to do it again now I'd go the Andaman Casino way too for comfort
