Sawang Boriboon Volunteer Shot In The Face As He Attempts To Purchase A Gun.

Featured Replies

In the early hours of Saturday Morning, Police Lieutenant Colonel Jackgarit from Banglamung Police Station was called to Banglamung Hospital to investigate the aftermath of a shooting which occurred near the Train Track in Soi Nong Mai.

The victim of the shooting was Khun Sorasak aged 21, a Sawang Boriboon Rescue Volunteer, who was off-duty at the time of the shooting.

He sustained a gun shot wound in his cheek and was thankfully not seriously injured.

He explained that he had arranged to meet a man named as Khun Tong at the location. The man soon arrived and instead of selling the victim a gun, he produced his own gun and shot at Khun Sorasak.

The victim claimed that Khun Tong intended to steal the money he had planned to use to purchase the gun and Khun Tong would have been well aware that Khun Sorasak was in possession of this money at the time of the shooting.

It is thought that the presence of others at the scene deterred the shooter from committing the robbery. The search for Khun Tong is underway.
