Thai Woman Strangled And Stabbed To Death In Her South Pattaya Hotel Room.

Early on Friday Afternoon, Police Lieutenant Colonel Sumreun from Pattaya Police Station was called to the Marina Inn Plaza Hotel located in Soi Yensabai, South Pattaya to investigate an apparent murder.

Inside room number 208 on the 2nd Floor was the body of the room occupant, Khun Wannigar aged 27.

Tied around her neck was a mobile phone charger cable and stab wounds were evident on her back and neck. There were no signs of a struggle in the room which suggested to Police that the attacker may have been known by the victim.

There were pictures around the room of the victim with foreign men and according to Khun Sootsakorn aged 42, a cleaner at the Hotel who discovered the body, she was often seen with foreign men and was known to have Italian and German, long-term boyfriends.

She would also wear a Gold Necklace and carry 2 mobile phones with her at all times, which may have attracted the attention of potential thieves, according to Police.

These items appear to have been stolen by whoever killed Khun Wannigar.

The knife used in the attack is now being analyzed by Forensic Police and the victims former Thai Husband is now being contacted and her foreign boyfriends are being tracked down as Police attempt to solve the mystery behind this disturbing case of murder and robbery.

Transsexual arrested following recent South Pattaya murder.

Last week we reported on a murder which took place at the Marina Inn Plaza Hotel in Soi Yensabai, South Pattaya. Khun Wannigar aged 27 was brutally stabbed to death and since the day of the Murder, last Friday, Police have been investigating the case and searching for possible suspects in the case. Khun Wannigar was known to be living in the room with her Transsexual friend who was not named as one of the suspects at the time as Police did not want him to know he was wanted in connection with the murder. On Tuesday Morning Police Colonel Nopadon, the Chief of Pattaya Police, announced they had arrested the victims roommate, named as Khun Sarayut aged 23, who confessed to killing the woman over fake class 1 drugs which were purchased by the suspect and were given to the victim to smoke. Khun Wannigar had given her roommate 1,000 Baht to purchase Crystal Methamphetamine, however the drug was not available and the woman instructed her roommate to purchase 3 Yabba Tablets instead. Khun Sarayut arrived with the drugs and Khun Wannigar prepared to smoke the class 1 drug but realized the tablets were fake and entered into an argument with Khun Sarayut. It soon progressed into a physical altercation and by his own admission, Khun Sarayut stabbed Khun Wannigar to death. He is now facing a charge of murder and is currently in a local remand prison awaiting a court appearance.
