Hi :o

Looking forward to a brand-new truck Real Soon Now, here i'll put up my current ride for sale.

It's a '94 Volvo 460 GLE, 2.0 Litre non-turbo, 4-point injection, catalytic converter, 4-speed auto transmission.

The car is almost 100% stock, things changed: Wheels - 15" instead of 14" (tyres 185/65/15 Bridgestone on mags, they have some 5k kilometers on them), exhaust end pipe ("fart cannon") stainless steel - somewhat ROOAAR, but still sounds decent. That can be changed easily for a few 100 Baht if you insist :D

The car DID have two accidents while i was behind the wheel - both not my fault and both only resulted in minor body damage (frame and systems unhurt), however the insurance garage did a sloppy job on the bonnet (hood for Americans) and it would need a re-do - or you can keep it as it is, it didn't bother ME at all.

Recently it's gotten a new air condition heat exchanger for the old one had a leak, and a Japanese circuitry for better air condition power (notoriously weak in Volvos, but now "Japanese standard").

Also brand new (>200 kilometers) is the belt that drives alternator, water pump etc.

All electric gizmos work (electric windows, electric mirrors, all available lights, rear window defroster, all available meters, stereo), except for ONE thing - the electric antenna for the radio. I have hooked up a "wire" type of antenna which is hidden so you REALLY can't see it - the radio receives excellent without an antenna coming out anywhere. Oh, the radio (genuine Sony) also plays CD's, even mp3-type CD's. There's 6 speakers in the car - 2 in the rear, 1 in each front door and tweeters in the "A" pillars (stock). Very good sound quality without any amps or sub woofers.

Sadly, there's a requirement for some cosmetic repairs, if you insist - thanks to Bangkok's top road quality the plastic frame around the center dash console (where the radio is in) is broken, it holds in place due to a few additional, hardly visible, screws but for a perfectionist this part would have to be replaced. The dash board itself has NO cracks and is in very good condition. Also the film on the wind screen would have to be removed or replaced, thanks to some insurance sticker which was only removable "with heavy tools". It didn't bother me because it's on the passenger side :D

The car (and it's engine) has about 142k kilometers on the clock, has always gotten good oil (not that cheap cr@p from the supermarket but either Elf with MoS or Castrol Magna-Tec) and has not been driven by a boy-racer. It runs excellent on Gasohol 95 (since well over two years already) and is well suited for longer distance travel (very comfy and good handling). I have gone to Chiang Mai and back (from Bangkok) a number of times with it, in one "go" each time, no problems. The engine does not burn oil or loses any other of it's fluids (as opposed to most Japanese cars where you need to refill water every couple of weeks).

The Volvo 460 is "Made In Netherlands" and was imported CBU, at it's time it was a luxury car and price-wise eclipsed a 3-Series BMW. Blue Book is of course with me and the car is taxed and insured (Tor Ror Bor or what that's called, plus 3rd class insurance) until June 2009, it cost 1,690 Baht tax per year.

Have a look at the pictures here, if you like the car, think about it - i'm asking for 110,000 Baht cash (One Hundred Ten Thousand). The car is located in Bangna, Bangkok, parked dry in underground car park (entire car, from all sides including below, is 100% free of rust!) and can be viewed/test-driven upon appointment as i am working full-time, weekdays only early morning or weekends.

PM me, or e-mail me (boythanh (at) gmail (dot) com) and i'll provide phone numbers for myself (English, German) and/or my boyfriend (Thai).

Best regards.....

Thanh
