Dramatic drop of the Euro?

Question : what is happening with the Euro?

What about Farang with small income?

In a short time the euro to the US $ down 20 %

( Bath - Euro down 13 %)

If you have a small pension around 1500 Euro you wil get a problem to

provide evidence of monthly income 65.000 bath :o

Its all about the USD getting stronger. The British pound, Australian $ and other currencies are doing the same.

The USD is the benchmark currency for the Baht.

You and lots of others are worried about the visa issue.

There is an on going topic on the General Topics forum about this.

In such case the applicant for a retirement extension can use a combination of income and money in a Thai bank account to arrive at the required total of 800,000 Baht.

Seeing that some more people were tempted to post off topic here about exchange rates and the economy I am now deleting also earlier off-topic posts.

There are several topics running in the forum β€œJobs, economy, banking, business, investment in Thailand” on exchange rates and the economic development and new topics can be started there at any time.

This topic was started with a question about how a retiree can continue his annual extensions when a change in the exchange rate makes his foreign income drop below the required 65,000 Baht per month. That question has been answered and I am now closing this topic.
