Land For Equestrain Centre

Featured Replies

Greetings

I am considering opening an equestrian/ horse boarding centre in that region and am wondering what prices might be for long term rental of say 50 rai in an attractive , well drained spot suitable for horses

Near enough to a community to sustain such a business, or in the future, woods or jungle for x country and a beach to ride on safetly without a busy road to cross .

Is there ground water to be had by borehole?

Any comments or interested parties? Would also appreciate reccommendations on a realtor and a dencent hotel to stay in for a reconnaisance .

Thanks

Hi HorseDoctor

Good luck with your investigations. I miss my weekend treks that I used to have in the beautiful South Downs of England but could count the number of healthy horses seen (since I first came to Thailand 6 years ago) on one hand! I wonder how carefully you have considered the likelyhood of the Thai population indulging in a fairly expensive interest in an Equestrian hobby.

Sorry if I seem negative, but I feel dutybound to say what I see as the truth and thats coming from someone interested in horses BTW.

HI Dave ,

No worries I appreciate your ..caveats.... but it's not Thais this centre would cater to but a future population of ex pats that I think may be going to the area in the future .

And you can now count the number of healthy horses in this region on 2 hands as I have 4 personally already and lots of people wanting to board , take lessons etc .

I'm really just looking at a way to start a business involving horses , I'm on Phuket now but land is too expensive here, too many Ratch Passa Deux usless land titles too , no good past a 3 year rental contract, cannot get a 30 year stamp

hoping to get in early and then let the tourist , Ex Pat population expand around me . Where di doyu ride in UK , I just got back from Suffolk, Poplar Park Man O Man tha is horse country ..

My daughter has horses and is the real expert. We ride accross the South Downs near Eastbourne(Wilmington). One of the few things I miss abouth the UK.

Good luck

Dave
