realthaideal Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 What kind of ingredients are you using to mix up your own fancy Starbucks (and better!! of course) at home, and where are you picking them up around town ? I have a few ideas, but haven't yet made my way out to Rimping or Pheuan Kruwa yet. I'm looking for things in the way of hazelnut, vanilla, and chocolate syrups etc. Makro maybe - by all their baking goods ? And by the by, I order my coffee straight from a Karen guy up in Doi Inthanon who grows fair trade coffee. Dang good stuff ! He sells it whole roasted or ground, up to you.
Sathip2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Well, any Rimpings or "Bon Cafe" (Chang Khlan)
Rice_King Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 The Hillkopf coffee supply place (near Chang Puek) has a wide assortment of coffee flavors along with other coffee making paraphernalia.
drysdan Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Rimping carries flavored syrups from a French company called Monin, which, as one who worked in the coffee industry for several years, I think is probably the best on the market, or close to it, anywhere.

Don't know if we are talking about the same place (don't remember the name) but there is a place across the road of Chang Puek Hospital, slightly diagonal - selling everything related to coffee.
polecat Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 as one who worked in the coffee industry for several years The toilets at Black Canyon have never been as clean since you left. (Sorry, couldn't resist)
