Carpets and rugs in los

Featured Replies

I want some carpets for my bungalow in Buriram. Does anybody know about carpets in LOS. I have not seen much about. Any info would be good.

Not being funny, Simon, but have you tried the carpet shop.

The one in my town does not exactly stand out as a carpet shop as it also sells curtains and bedding but every decent size town must have one.  Try asking.

There are also a few travelling shops who sell Indian looking carpets. Come around every month for a couple of days.

By the way carpets may not be a good idea in Thailand.

They fill up with bugs after a while.

Have not had that problem; and wool carpet upstairs is 25 years old.  But would be careful on a groundfloor if there is any chance of flooding; or at least use a poly type material that can be washed.

Watch out if you have pets too. Fleas can live in the carpets (jumping off and on the animal and you to feed) - they can live up to a year on a single meal - I read that off a can of flea powder - so may be a bugger to get rid off. The warm all-year around temperature will help them thrive too.

I suppose you could spinkle with insect powder once a fortnight or so to limit this perhaps - regualt vacuuming helps too.

Is HOME PRO the best/cheaper choice in Bangkok to buy wall-to-wall carpet ?

Any other specialized shop?

Thanks.

I've had a few customers in the bar wearing small head rugs. :o

Those are small dead animals in fact :D
