I have see on the web this new media player from Western Digital. Look interesting (2 usb, playback 1080p, mkv codec too, etc) see http://www.engadget.com/2008/11/01/western...hd-media-player

Anybody have one? Is it possible to get one in BKK?

I think I've seen them at Fortune's IT Mall a few days ago, but can't guaranty that. May you would take a look there.

Why not just buy a dvd player such as pioneer that has a usb port? Readily available all over Bangkok.

Because I want to watch hi-def-1920*1080- movies that I downloaded from internet and most of them come with ".mkv" container.

I ordered one from bigitshop.com too but the "how to pay" page results in an error page.

Let me know if you get anything from these guys. I find it highly suspicious when none of the top level links on the main page work for 3 days in a row (as of now)....

I made a bank transfer to their bank account, then i call them (they confirm my order) and I print the invoice appear on their website.

They say to me, monday they will send a parcel to my address. I'll check againm by phone tomorrow. IMO they look professional.

Monday they shipped me the box and the day after arrived to the ferry terminal KPG. (you can choose the delivery method).

Now is 3 day using the new WDTV and I can say I'm very happy.

The Bigitshop people has been very professional and they kept the word on the monday shipping.

WDTV is a good quality appliance, but for what I received a bit expensive (HDMI cable not included) but the glossy finishing of the player match exactly with my LG HDTV!

And a real plug and play stuff!!

I'll order something more with BigIt, when I'll need.
