Just a couple of questions about the UK marriage visa. We've eventually decided to apply for this visa after 6 years together.

The fist question is regarding my work. I work freelance here in London; although I'm contacted to work only for one company (since May 2007).I have a contract stating that I earn 25k a year through them. My problem is that I don't receive payslips from them. We're applying later this month and my first tax return wont be done until January so haven't any documentation regarding my tax either. I'm payed every 2 weeks and this is documented on my bank statements (along with the company name corresponding with my contract, thus verifying the £25k I make a year). Should this be enough documentation regarding my finances? I.e. Contract and bank statements?

Also, my wife has visited the UK twice in the last 2 years on 6 month tourist visas. Will we need to submit again the evidence for the validity of our relation ship we submitted for those applications, or just the pics/ phone details etc after the last application? (concerned as they are different applications).

If you have a written contract and can supply say 6 months of bank statements that clearly show the sum being deposited into your account you should be fine. I would include in your covering letter a note of the dates that they can see the deposits.

I would include as much information as possible, so anything you have used before to prove your relationship should be included. When dealing with visa applications it's best to overload them so they can't refuse on the grounds of not having the info. Better to give too much and get the visa, than give the minimum and have it rejected, especially if the reason given is the lack of something you could have originally included.
