Hello, my wife will be staying 6 month in Thailand, starting beginning of January 2009. She will need a car, and we are wondering what is the best solution...

Hiring to a local rental company : it is around 25 000 THB/month , we reckon it is a little bit expensive.

Buy a 2nd hand car and sell it later ? Why not , but she obviously needs a car that will not breakdown every week ... :o

Any other solution ?
