fabianfred Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 ...... to cross over and come back to get a 30 day entry without visa? I haven't been there for ten years ...do we just cross the border...or do we go to the Thai immigration office in Mae Sai before going to the border...?
Lordfoul Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Everything is now done at the Bridge. You get a stamp out from Thai immigration on the left side of the bridge as you leave Thailand. Then you cross over to the right side of the bridge to the Burmese immigration where you pay either USD$10 or 500 Baht. They then take your Picture and your Passport and give you a temporary Visa. You can then go to the market if you like. When you come back you can pick up your passport on the right side (across the road from where you dropped it off.) Then Proceed to Thai Immigration on the left side and get your 30 day Stamp.
