The AOT has just announced Thailand will abandon Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang and allow the PAD to take up permanent residence there. They argue the smiles, 24 hour broadcasts and generally festive atmosphere there should become a yearlong event that will help Thailand recover from the damage caused by the take over. Furthermore Suvarnabhumi reminds people of Thaksin and generally causes a lose of face for Thai's. By building a new airport Thailand can create jobs, and a feeling of good will between warring factions. A school, hospital and night bazaar will be built at the airport. Also because of the tremendous boost the PAD has given to Thailand they will have all food, electricity and rent covered by the other grateful citizens of Thailand year-round.

Not to be outdone Cambodia said they too will shut down the Angkor international airport, seaports and railroads. President Macapagal-Arroyo of the Philippines quickly retracted her statement that the Thai were politically immature and though they won't close an airport or any modern means of transportation. They will cut customs and baggage staff at the airport by half to simulate the pandemonium that the Thai's so brilliantly orchestrated. She is quoted as saying, " I've got to call a spade a spade. Those tricky Thai's did it again. Just as we thought their non sequitur logic had finally become their undoing they show they were in control all along."

In response Thaksin broadcast live from a crane in Dubai. To his disheartened supporters. "I never liked that airport anyway. The one in Singapore is nicer."

This just in BREAKING NEWS

Sondhi Limthongkul declares PAD to be granted Super Citizenship. Declaring himself supreme adjudicator of those who are worthy or not. Sondhi has declared he and his followers are now Super Thai's. "Some Thai's are more equal than other Thai's and thus we now have rights not enjoyed by other Thai's."

these are

Life Liberty and the right to shut down airports

The right to cancel out the vote and opinions of others because they are not worthy or capable of having an opinion.

He also sent forth the directive that all of those living north of Bankgok are instructed to make a yearly pilgrimage to Don Muang which will be reestablished as a commemorative for the greatness of the PAD in their historic and uplifting shut down of Suvarnabhumi

He went on to say those living in Issan should be grateful such a super race exists in Thailand to lead them out of darkness.

Members of the Red shirt UDD declared these measures fascist and unreasonable and that they would cease to ship rice to Bangkok. Sondhi rebutted, But we let you eat cake, bring forth the rice.

Also the plastic hand clapper will replace Garuda and the elephant as the national symbols of Thailand.

Taken from this weeks Pattaya Mail [ http://www.pattayamail.com/current/news.shtml#hd4 ]

OK, being an Ex-USAF base, the runways will not sink or crack up, but the passemger numbers seem low, or it that how many are expected when this is all over???

Utapao airport goes international

Utapao Airport will be renamed Utapao Pattaya International Airport in the next three months as it is being upgraded to a small commercial international airport with good facilities, becoming another access point to Pattaya.

post-34728-1228109948.gif

It is being upgraded to international airport standard by expanding the terminal area from a capacity for 150 to 400 passengers with a usage area of 2,610 square meters. This includes 50 aircraft being supported according to current international airport standards.

It will have a runway measuring 3,505 x 60m2, a location for parking measuring 432,300m2, including a fire engine, rescue vehicles, an ambulance, a cabin car, a garbage truck, a shuttle bus, and an SSR (secondary surveillance radar) system. It has a security system that is just as good as that of the Don Muang Airport.

It will also have a 50% reduced charge for aviation parking from today until March 2009. I bet it wishes it never said that, as this was a couple of days before they got 31 flights a day usiung the place!
