All free courtesy of TAT, who are providing me with accomodation and 3 meals a day there. Just show your airline ticket out since this trouble began and your passport and they do the rest. Quite nice actually for a cheapskate like me. By the way I had no trouble getting an overnight sleeper from Chiang Mai to Bangkok on Thursday 4th December and have booked another sleeper on the Bangkok to Butterworth train on 5th December.
