I bought a BT3030 Jabra Blue Tooth Stereo Headsets with Hands Free Headset/Mic option for telephony. It works with Windows Mobile5 but cannot get the Hands Free / Mic to work on a PC with Vista - only the stereo headphones works. Had the same problem with an older i.Tech Clip III model before, which is why I bought the Jabra. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

I want to use it with Skype on a Vista machine, but so far only the headphones works and not the mic.

You'll need to install it twice, the default settings will install the 'audio sink' which is the stereo headphones section.

Open up the bluetooth manager, set the headset to discover but when you add the device choose 'advanced' you should then see the hands-free option which you then install.

Vista seems to be clever enough to swich between the devices when Skype becomes active something that XP never managed :o
