December 4, 200817 yr Hello, I was wondering if somebody could help me with my Visa questions, the story goes.. My partner (from Thailand) and I have lived together in London for about five years and now we hope to go in a few months to Thailand to get married and live there for a while, (I was hoping for at least one year). I hold both a German and Australian passport. Do I get a visa in the U.K or in Thailand? Can I stay for as long as one year if we are married? I dont know which way to go, so any help would be greatly appreciated, regards Tone.... Edited December 4, 200817 yr by tone34
December 4, 200817 yr You can get a multiple entry non-o at the Thai consulate in Hull that would allow you to stay in Thailand for 90 days at a time. Then you would have to leave the country and re-enter to get another 90 days. This would give you about 15 months total if you leave and re-enter just before the visa expires. If you can prove an income of 40,000 baht per month or have 400,000 baht that you can put in a Thai bank you could get a single entry non-o and extend it for 1 year after you get married. There sure are some good people on this forum board. I appreciate each and everyone of you who promptly and as clearly as possible answer questions and try to provide solutions. as well as speak the truth even when it might not be what a poster wants to hear. My hat is off to all of you! Martian Edited for spelling. Edited December 4, 200817 yr by Martian
