Obtaining A 60-day Tourist Visa (best Country?)

Featured Replies

Appreciate anyone who can give me some advice on this.

I originally entered Thailand on a triple entry 60-day tourist visa. Used them all up and am now on my 3rd and final 30-day tourist visa. I'm going to be in Kho Chang/Samet areas next week so Cambodia would be the obvious choice to get another 60-day visa.

However judging by comments on this board, Phom Penh isn't the most friendly immigration office. Am I better off just taking a train to Penang or Vientiane where I'm more likely to get the visa? Also, I'd prefer a double entry 60-day, so keep that in mind also.

Thanks

Easy answer. Vientiene for a double entry tourist visa.

Vientian is the only place issuing double entry visa's

Khota Baru in Malyasia also does Double Entries.

Khota Baru in Malyasia also does Double Entries.

Agreed they do.

Before going it is best to remember that Khota Bharu is not a party town. It is in a very conservative Muslim state.

The OP state "on my 3rd and final 30-day tourist visa"

I think it refers to visa exempt stamps.

Just to inform that they only give out 15 day stamps now at land borders.

No. He says clearly that he has a triple-entry tourist visa.

Poor Sucker is right.

The OP may have started on a Triple Tourist Visa, but now he appears to be on Visa Exempt stamps

Used them all up and am now on my 3rd and final 30-day tourist visa

Cambodia is not a good place for any visa, unless you are Cambodian.

Malaysia and Vietianne are better choices.

Now I see it: tourist-visa entries followed by visa-exempt entries.
