Oxymorons

I was reading the paper today and someone modestly described himself as a 'old fart', he'd omitted the 'boring' bit. I wondered how a fart could be old, surely the very essence of a fart lies in its sudden, rapid expulsion and its mercifully swift dispersal into the upper atmosphere?

Any more oxymorons come to mind?

The W. B. Yeats poem "Easter 1916" contains the line "A terrible beauty was born". Yeats wrote the line for poetic effect but by its very nature how can beauty be terrible?

Alternatively, boxing has light heavyweights. Eh, how can someone be light and heavy simultaneously?

Scouse.
