Rare Event Has Everyone Looking To The Moon.

Featured Replies

All eyes were to the skies on Friday Night here in Pattaya to witness a rare event involving the moon. On Friday, the moon was at its closest distance to the Earth.

Each month the Moon makes a full orbit around the Earth in a slightly oval-shaped path, and on Friday it swang by the Earth at its closest distance.

It passed by 356,613km away, which is about 28,000km closer than average. The unusual feature of Friday’s event was that it also coincided with a full moon, which will made it appear 14 per cent bigger and some 30 per cent brighter than most full moons this year.

The next closest encounter with a full moon this large will not be until November 14, 2016.

Bet that had some people very happy in Pattaya.

Some there like a big, bright, shiny Moon, especially if they can see Uranus at the same time ! :o

(OK, OK, we did that already in the Smilely Sky thread).

But I'm sure that this story must be a cover-up of some kind ! No crime connected to it in any way ? What is happening to Pattaya ?!??!?
